Rachael Markarian

Growing up outside of Boston, Rachael was exposed to a variety of arts and culture at a young age. New York City became a second home, and after attending a Performing Arts High School and training at some of the most well-respected schools in NYC, it was clear her passion was in Arts & Entertainment. Rachael majored in Theatre & Dance at Oklahoma City University, prior to moving to Los Angeles. Three weeks after her move, she signed with an agency and booked her first feature film The Haunted Mansion starring Eddie Murphy. From that point on, Rachael been enjoyed a creatively fulfilling and versatile career in the Entertainment Industry.

She’s had the honor of working with well-respected Directors including Joseph Kosinski, Michael Satrazemis, Susanne Bier, Ryan Murphy, Avi Youabian, Steven Soderberg, Amy Sherman-Palladino, Christopher Guest, Mary Lou Belli, Tim Mielants, David McWhirter, David LaChapelle, Julius Onah, Jennifer Phang and Mathew Cullen to name a few.

Rachael’s most recent work includes Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World, returning for Season 5 of her recurring role on Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias, and the Lifetime Original Pretty Hurts airing in June 2025. Her other credits include Top Gun: Maverick, Magnum PI, Tales of the Walking Dead, The Morning Show, All American, Queens, Bandit, First Wives Club, Dollface, The First Lady, Legion, Glee, True Blood, The Ms. Pat Show, On A Wing And A Prayer, Rush Hour 3, Gilmore Girls Revival, Johnson, Mascots, How I Met Your Mother, CSI, Dr. Ken, No Strings Attached, AFLAC Insurance, Microsoft, Target, Chevy, Farmer's Insurance, H&M and many more. Rachael’s love for the Theatre led her to play the lead role of Kari in Craig Wright’s Pulitzer Prize nominated play, The Pavillion, at the Malibu Playhouse.

Prior to her acting career, Rachael was an in-demand performer; dancing for artists like Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Pink, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson, Panic At The Disco, Kanye West, Chayanne, Cher and The PussyCat Dolls. She had the honor of performing in two Super Bowl Halftime Shows with both Katy Perry & Beyonce, and toured the world dancing back-up for Rihanna, Katy Perry & Chayanne. She was also a Guest Performer on numerous shows like Dancing with the Stars, The Masked Singer, American Idol, The Grammy's, MTV VMAs, American Music Awards, The Billboard Awards as well as countless Music Videos, Industrials & Live Shows. 

Rachael’s hybrid skills have come into play on numerous projects where she’s also served as Choreographer. From elaborate dance sequences for film, television or commercials, to movement direction for actors.

She can also add Author to her resume; in 2024 Rachael wrote and self-published, The Dancer’s Edge: A Guide & Workbook to Mastering Mindset, Artistry, and Opportunity on and off the Dance Floor, also available on Amazon & LuLu Bookstores. Rachael has a passion for educating the next generation of aspiring artists about the importance of training, and a healthy mindset in preparation for the Entertainment Industry. Her mission is to encourage others to pursue their dreams with clarity and confidence, feeling empowered in who they are and what they have to offer.

When she’s not filming, you can catch Rachael traveling the country as a Master Teacher at various Conservatories, Universities and Studios, or catch her on Faculty of NRG Dance Project.
